Serena Dolinska

Artist

Serena Dolinska, Serena has over 30 years of experience in Commercial Art/Design and Illustration. She started her career working as a Designer and Finished artist, moved on to Layout Artist and then a Press artist with Brisbane newspaper Courier/Sunday Mail. Whilst raising her family, she worked across all disciplines of commercial art as a freelance artist from her home studio.

In recent years she developed an interest in working with oil pastel on dark backgrounds. Her latest project has been with Elizabeth working on the Oopsy Daisy Reading Program. She has found this work to be very enjoyable, drawing on her experiences as a mother raising two daughters, to create the characters; her love for the environment, color and animals to produce the illustrations, and her time as a newspaper and advertising artist to layout the pages of each book and also design the covers and title pages. Creating the illustrations for “The Dinosaur” and “Little Lamb” will help make learning to read a joy for children! Another, worthy project.
